A note about my sessions in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic
The recent changes we have all had to make to our lives to protect each other, can mean we find ourselves dealing with additional emotional stressors. Looking after our emotional wellbeing is always important but it is especially so during times such as these. I remain available for counselling and look forward to supporting you. However, in line with government advice, I will be conducting sessions online via video call (Skype, Zoom, FaceTime etc.) until such time as official guidance changes.
Talking to a professional therapist and giving voice to your thoughts and emotions can help you to see them from a new perspective. Within a supportive and non-judgemental environment we can work together to find resolution to whatever you wish to bring to therapy.
Areas of Therapy
Psychotherapy & Counselling
People seek counselling or psychotherapy for many different reasons. Sometimes it’s because of a specific issue such as depression, anxiety, trauma, bereavement, relationship difficulties or stress at work. Therapy provides a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to explore and resolve what is troubling you.
There are a number of different approaches to counselling and psychotherapy so it’s important to find a therapist and an approach that best suits you. Research shows that regardless of the approach, where the therapist offers empathy within a collaborative and trusting relationship there is a greater chance of a positive outcome.
"Andy is open, non-judgemental and has a warm demeanour, which I have felt has given me the opportunity to talk freely. Andy is a fantastic therapist."
